Big changes have been made at Scimitar with the launch of the Eco:1 range.
Every detail has been expertly refined.
From the original meetings and blueprints of the new range, we knew we wanted to make something special. From the use of strategically located mesh side panels to ultra-visible 360° reflective print, the Eco:1 range has been conceptualised to be the perfect multi-sport garment.
All technical sportswear has been made with a degree of recycled polyester. The Eco:1 range is supplemented by a stunning range of leisurewear (including hoodies and sweatshirts), made with organic/regenerated cotton and featuring the stunning new Scimitar branding.

Extensive testing and research over the past 18 months has led to this moment.
It has allowed us to create and launch a new range of apparel that is produced with recycled plastic bottles and organic/regenerated cotton.
The Eco:1 range of running vests, cycling jerseys and technical t-shirts are made from 100% recycled post-consumer polyester, with each of these products containing up to seven recycled plastic bottles.
But how does it work?
Well, it’s relatively simple to explain.
1
Pre-consumer fibre waste and post-consumer plastics are collected and gathered together.
2
The collected plastic is then converted with a unique process, reformulating the plastic as a recycled resin.
3
The recycled resin chips are then extruded and textured, and put on a roll as polyester yarn.
REPREVE, our brilliant supplier of recycled fabric, have put together the following video to show you how this process looks from collection to yarn production.
